Vattenfall’s charging solution InCharge now available by Volvo and Renault dealers

Vattenfall InCharge wins new ground and will install over 300 charging stations at Volvo and Renault dealers throughout Sweden over a period of three years.

Vattenfall wants to become fossil-free within one generation and wants to support its partners to achieve their climate goals. Together with InCharge from Vattenfall 165 Volvo and Renault dealer sites are preparing for the future by installing charging stations adjacent to Tanka's gasoline stations at Volvo and Renault dealers.

"We have a unique cooperation agreement with Tanka i Sverige AB, where we are taking an important step to prepare for the future and facilitate for electric car drivers. Our cooperation enables Volvo and Renault dealers to offer their customers and employees simple and fast electric car charging and billing," says Susanna Hurtig, Head of Vattenfall E-mobility in the Nordics.

"There are more and more electric cars, almost 60,000 in Sweden now. The initiative from Tanka i Sverige AB is spot on with drivers' wishes and harmonises with the developments we can see among the car manufacturers. We are immensely proud of this cooperation," says Hurtig.

The charging stations will be equipped for semi-fast charging at 22 kW, compared with normal charging at 3.7 kW. The first installations have now been done at Volvo and Renault dealers in Halmstad, Vetlanda and Lidköping.

Payment can be made via the InCharge application, which is connected to Volvokortet and CarPay, the Volvo dealers' own payment solutions.

"We wanted a complete solution that works all over Sweden, and InCharge has a payment solution that easily works smooth with our own. We want to offer our customers safe and convenient solutions. Our concept is to give our customers a car ownership that is easy working in all aspects; change tires, car-washing, refueling as well as charging," says Jan Wallin, Business Development & Market at Tanka i Sverige AB.

Facts and more info: The Tanka-concept, with gasoline stations and car-washing services (Tvätta), belongs to the company Tanka i Sverige AB and is a wholly owned subsidiary to Swedish Volvo- and Renault dealers. incharge.vattenfall.se, www.tanka.se
