The South Kyle Wind Farm proposal consists of 50 wind turbines and associated infrastructure.

South Kyle wind farm is consented.

Three priorities were agreed during the consultation period:

  • Ensuring the project generates employment - directly through the project and community investment
  • Protecting and enhancing the natural environment through the project and investment
  • Investing in the needs of local communities – particularly creating opportunities for young people, tourism, jobs, and improving local towns and facilities.

We will now be focussing on these priorities and working with local communities and organisations to see how opportunities can best be developed.
