Vattenfall responds to the UK Government's Allocation Round 6 budget announcement today

Vattenfall welcomes the increase to the Allocation Round 6 budget.

Vattenfall's Head of UK Onshore Development, Frank Elsworth, said:

“We welcome the increase to the Allocation Round 6 budget. It demonstrates that the UK Government understands the opportunity that onshore wind and solar can bring and has brought forward measures that will allow significant investment in the UK.

“Onshore wind and solar can be deployed quickly, helping to improve our energy security, stabilising energy bills and enabling us to meet our climate targets. These projects also unlock supply chain and community benefits in rural communities up and down the country. However, some projects will still be left out, so a clear pipeline for future auctions is needed to ensure we maintain momentum.”
