Why we are doing this

The energy sector is undergoing its most fundamental transformation in generations. New technologies are needed to move away from fossil fuels and develop large-scale renewable alternatives. Our role as energy company is shifting, and we need to constantly innovate our business model to stay at the forefront of the energy transition.

We regard young talents as individuals who bring fresh ideas to the table and combine an innovation mindset with business insight. We regularly work with colleges and universities to spread innovation thinking and foster knowledge exchange.

Sustainable partnerships

Vattenfall Innovation Challenge

We organise a yearly international Vattenfall Innovation Competition for all employees. The people in the business are the ones that know the business the best, and see ways to improve or innovate. Through the Vattenfall Innovation Competition, they can seek, inspiration and support to further develop their idea and really make an impact.
