We’re constantly being reminded that humanity faces a tremendous climate challenge. A challenge that defines our work at Vattenfall. This is why we are focused on one goal: to enable fossil free living within one generation. Join us on the way there.

What's happening at the White House?

Vattenfall's CEO Anna Borg talked about innovation to 40 world leaders at the Leaders Summit on Climate.

Our road to fossil freedom

A new way for properties to produce their own renewable energy.

A network of charging stations to accelerate the transition to electric cars.

A new means of steel production that emits water rather than carbon dioxide.

Reporting on climate change conversation

To understand how the climate change conversation affects us, we undertook a study investigating how people really think and feel about what’s happening to the climate.

CO2 roadmap

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of our time. Greenhouse gas emissions need to stop by the second half of this century if we are to limit global warming to 2 degrees Celsius. A great deal of effort is put into limiting the global warming further, to only 1.5 degrees. Meeting this target requires the world to stop all CO2 emissions between 2030 and 2050.

The graph shows how Vattenfall's emissions have changed over time, as well as our forecast for the near future.
