Vattenfall: “We stand by you. We pledge to do more.”

As a response to the ongoing worldwide protests, Vattenfall condemns racism, pledging to continue and intensify the focus on diversity and inclusion.

“We recognise the current unrest and stress the urgency of pursuing greater diversity and inclusion, both within our own organisation and beyond.

The series of events in the United States that have led to an onset of protests around the world, highlight the need to speak up and to act. We recognise what lies beneath the anger and frustration, not only in the US, but also in the countries in which we operate. Many of our employees are personally affected by the current events, we respect that and stand with them.

Change needs to happen

We believe in a society where everyone feels welcome and that they belong; a society where everyone has equal rights, regardless of who they are. We want to do our part in making this happen.

At Vattenfall we are committed to learning and to developing, to mirroring the societies in which we operate in and to enabling all our employees to fully utilise their diverse skills and competencies in the best possible way.
