Anna Borg appointed CFO and Niek den Hollander appointed Senior Vice President for Business Area Markets in Vattenfall

Anna Borg has been appointed new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Vattenfall. She is currently Senior Vice President of Vattenfall’s Business Area Markets. Niek den Hollander, currently Vice President of Trading in Vattenfall has been appointed new Senior Vice President of Business Area Markets.

"Anna Borg has extensive management experience from the energy industry, both from the asset heavy Heat business, as well as trading, business and consumer sales and staff functions. This includes leading positions in controlling, strategy and business development. She has the ability as CFO to lead many of Vattenfall's transformation programs. Niek den Hollander brings with him a wealth of experience in energy trading providing a strong base for Vattenfall's continued development in the new energy landscape. I'm very pleased to see them both in their new roles in a crucial period of company development", says Magnus Hall, Vattenfall's President ad CEO.

Both Anna Borg and Niek den Hollander will assume their new positions on November 1, 2017, be members of Vattenfall’s Executive Group Management and report directly to President and CEO Magnus Hall.

Anna Borg succeeds Stefan Dohler who will become the new CEO of German energy company EWE AG.

Anna Borg

Anna Borg returned to Vattenfall in April of 2017 to the role as Senior Vice President of Business Area Markets after having headed European fin tech player Klarna’s online buying and payment solutions business in the Nordics for two years. Before that Anna Borg spent 18 years in Vattenfall and held numerous management positions, including heading the business development of the market and trading operations. The last position was as Vice President Marketing and Sales Nordic with responsibility for electricity and heat sales as well as sales of energy-related products and services to customers in Scandinavia (B2C, B2B and energy intensive industries). Anna Borg holds a Master of Economics and Political Science from the University of Uppsala, Sweden.

Niek den Hollander

Niek den Hollander assumed his current role as Head of Trading and member of Business Area Market's management team in 2014. Prior to that Niek den Hollander worked at Statkraft in Germany and the Netherlands for twelve years in several trading and energy management roles, most recently as Head of Trading where he was responsible for the company’s Continental trading activities. Niek den Hollander studied Econometrics at the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands where he also obtained an MBA degree in 2008.
