Vattenfall signs agreement to divest French sales business to Alterna énergie

Vattenfall is working closely with Alterna énergie to ensure a seamless transition for all customer accounts. Services will continue without interruption throughout the whole integration process and all contractual conditions remain unchanged. The transaction will become fully effective in the coming weeks following approval by the French Competition and Markets Authority.

Alterna énergie is an established French electricity and gas supplier with around 20 years of experience. The company has built a strong presence in renewable energy, working with a large network of French renewable producers and serving approximately 150,000 customers across all segments.

Since 2000, Vattenfall has been a reliable partner for French energy customers - initially serving Business Sales customers and expanding to the residential market in 2018. While the business has developed successfully, Vattenfall will prioritise future investments in markets where its integrated utility model can make the greatest contribution to the energy transition.
