The logotype represents Vattenfall’s broader thinking and ability to act on a larger scale, working for a future in which all people and businesses can move, make and live fossil free. The logotype was redesigned 2018, the wordmark in capital letters reflects the confident and firm leadership and with a symbol that balances the wordmark with the organic, round shape, visually enhancing a global aspiration to be a role model for sustainable change.

We lead with white to reflect confidence, transparency and premiumness. It provides air and space as well as allowing the eye to focus on what is important. Vattenfall Blue is our foundation, reflecting both the water and sky. Vattenfall Yellow represents the sun and is a colour of vision and warmth. Vattenfall Grey is the colour of the wordmark in the Vattenfall logotype.

Images are the most prominent visual element in our identity. They act as visual carriers of our Nordic heritage, our purpose and position and should mirror Vattenfall as focused, competent, intelligent, in control and quietly confident.

Our bespoke typeface, called Hall, mirrors and embodies the qualities confident, competent and determined.

Created to be simple yet powerful representations to ease and help the understanding of our services, products and ideas. Always used in moderation the icons can together with simple images create more clarity and messaging power than illustrations. All the icons are created in sync with our bespoke font.
