Caroline Häggström took on the role of Head of Vattenfall Customer Service in Sweden in 2018. Since then, the unit has embarked on an extensive cultural journey, focusing on putting people first.

On Thursday, 17 October, this achievement was recognized by naming her one of the 50 Stand Out Leaders by the American-based Future of Fields Service. They describe the award as follows: “Today’s dynamic service landscape demands a lot from leaders. The Stand Out 50 Awards recognize those who not only embrace these challenges but also distinguish themselves through their commitment to service excellence and making a meaningful impact.”

The prize included displaying all winners on the Times Square billboard.

“It honestly feels a bit unreal! It came as a surprise, but I'm obviously very happy and proud. Many thanks to those who nominated me and to the entire Vattenfall Customer Service team for their trust and commitment to the fantastic journey we are making together,” says Caroline Häggström.

Employees first

Her leaderhip strategy is summarized in one motto: People first. It's about the employee experience, providing the tools and conditions necessary for everyone to work smoothly, efficiently, and sustainably.

“We strongly believe that when you take care of your employees, they will, in turn, take excellent care of customers and help develop the business. Focusing on soft values creates hard results, both in the short and long term,” says Caroline Häggström.
