Karin Lepasoon new Head of Communications at Vattenfall

Karin Lepasoon, currently Director of Communications, Sustainability and HR at Nordic Capital, has been appointed new Head of Group Communications at Vattenfall. Karin Lepasoon will report directly to Magnus Hall and take up the new position as of April 1st 2016.

Magnus Hall comments: “I am really pleased that we have been able to recruit one of the top talents within the Swedish communications arena. Karin will be a valuable addition to our organisation and our ability to handle future challenges. I’d like to welcome her to Vattenfall and look forward to a good cooperation”.

With Masters in Swedish Law, as well as in European Community Law, Karin Lepasoon has over the last 20 years held leading communications roles. Experience includes a range of companies and industries such as construction (Skanska) and healthcare (Gambro).

“It is an exciting opportunity to work for Vattenfall and be part of this changing industry” says Karin Lepasoon, “Vattenfall plays an important role, both in Sweden and in Europe and it’s very exciting, not least from a communications perspective. Karin Lepasoon will replace Ivo Banek who has been Head of Communications since November 2012 and will continue his career outside Vattenfall.
