Public and regulatory affairs

Vattenfall's ambition is to enable fossil freedom. We call on policy-makers to create the regulatory environment that will make this transition possible.

For Vattenfall, fossil freedom means that everything we do and all the decisions we take shall lead to this ultimate goal. This is the basis of Vattenfall’s strategy, and it also means that we need a regulatory environment that makes this transition possible. Not only for the energy sector itself, but also for other parts of society, for example the transport and industry sectors.

In this section you can find more about Vattenfall’s advocacy; position papers, contact persons and industry associations that we are a member of.
Vattenfall does not make financial contributions to political parties or individual politicians. This includes financial donations, loans, retainers and support for political campaigns, and benefits in kind including providing secondees.
