Capacity reservation agreement signed with Vestas for turbines for the Norfolk Vanguard West Wind Farm

Vattenfall has signed a capacity reservation agreement with Vestas who will be providing turbines for the Norfolk Vanguard West Wind Farm, becoming preferred supplier.

Vestas will reserve production capacity for the turbines and resources to help build them.

The capacity for Norfolk Vanguard West will be 1.4 GW, and the whole Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone will power around 4.6m homes, making it one of the largest offshore wind zones in the world.

Helene Biström, Head of BA Wind at Vattenfall, said:

The agreement with Vestas is another important milestone for the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone. Vestas is a long-standing partner of Vattenfall and we thank them for their continued engagement. The Norfolk Zone will play a vital role in the UK's energy transition as well as bringing investment into the sector and the region.
